 Defending Territory

Regardless of their sex or size, dogs naturally defend what they consider to be either their personal space or their pack’s territory. This is why we value them as watching, but the behavior can also create problems. Dogs sometimes become territorially aggressive when we do not want them to for example when they are left in cars there is a strong genetic component to this form of aggression, which is why it is great in guard breeds such as the Dobermann and the German Shepherd Dog.
